Recruiting new members for the Economic Leadership Team

The Economic Leadership Team (ELT) is a dedicated volunteer group composed of members who possess local expertise and a strong passion for various economic development-related fields, ranging from innovation and entrepreneurship to partnership development, marketing, and land-use and policy development. Our primary objectives revolve around establishing a collaborative framework that facilitates the sharing of expertise, knowledge, and resources to effectively implement economic development strategies, plans, and actions. By engaging in research and exchanging data insights, the ELT actively contributes to the formulation of new economic development strategies while building upon existing ones. Through rigorous research and data analysis, the ELT continuously informs and enhances both new and existing initiatives.

Join the Squamish Economic Leadership Team as a volunteer member! As a team member, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community by providing advice and expertise to enhance existing strategic work. We're specifically looking for professionals committed to attending four annual meetings and engaging in various initiatives throughout the year. By joining the ELT, you'll contribute to the development of the emerging Green Economy and Outdoor Recreation clusters while strengthening the local economy.

We aspire to expand our team and foster a more diverse representation that accurately reflects our community. We encourage applications from individuals who have historically been marginalized based on factors such as race, religion, nationality, gender, age, disability, and sexual orientation.

To apply, please send us a one-page statement of interest outlining your expertise and how you can contribute to the ELT, along with your resume or LinkedIn profile link by July 31st.

Please email your application to [email protected].
